In one sentence
Elimetra collects nothing about you, sends nothing to us or to anyone else, and needs no account: it works on the files you choose, on your own computer.
What the program does with your information
- Your project files stay where you keep them. The program reads the drawings and documents in the folders you point it at, and writes its results inside that project's own folder. It does not copy them anywhere else.
- Its settings stay on your computer. The window language, your recent projects and similar choices are kept in a settings file in your own user folder.
- No account, no registration. Nothing asks for your name or your e-mail address.
- No analytics, no telemetry, no advertising. The program does not report how it is used, and it does not send crash reports by itself. If something breaks, the program can write a problem report into a file and open a draft e-mail in your own e-mail program; nothing leaves until you press Send there yourself.
- It does not connect to the internet by itself. Installing and updating are done by the Microsoft Store, under Microsoft's own privacy statement.
Your licence
The licence is a small signed file, checked entirely on your computer — no server is asked. To get one, the program shows an installation code for your computer (for example IQ-XXXX-XXXX-XXXX). The code says nothing about your files, your projects or your network. You send it to KOST-RUCTION by e-mail yourself; the program sends nothing.
KOST-RUCTION keeps your e-mail and the code only to issue your licence and to re-issue it if you change computer. They are not sold or shared with anyone. You can ask for them to be deleted at any time: info.kost-ruction@proton.me.
The site phone page (only if you start it)
The Field area can start a small receiver on your computer so that your team's phones can send files, photos and acceptance requests to the office, and receive the files you publish for the site. It runs only while you have started it.
- The phones open a page served by your own computer, with an access code shown in the window. There is no KOST-RUCTION server and no service in between.
- By default, when it starts, the receiver asks your office's own router to forward one port to your computer, so a phone on mobile data can reach it. You can choose "Office WiFi only" instead, and then only devices on your office network can reach it. The connection is plain HTTP protected by the access code; choose Office WiFi only if the computer must not be reachable from outside.
- There is no third choice: the program offers no tunnel and no other service run by a third party, and it refuses one by name.
- If the phone's own browser allows it, a request can carry the phone's position as a note. It goes only to your computer.
Everything the phones send lands in your project folder on your computer. Nothing is deleted, moved or edited from a phone.
Children
Elimetra is a professional engineering tool and is not directed at children.
Changes to this policy
A changed policy is published at this same address with a new date at the top.
